Post: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Kenton School, Drayton Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne NE3 3RU
Grade N3: £23,114 – £23,500 pa, Actual Salary Range: £17,433 to £17,724 pa
32.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 training days to be worked during school closure as directed by the school

We are seeking applications to join our Learning Support team to play a vital role in within our Academy. This position requires strong coordination skills, a passion for supporting student development, and a commitment to delivering high-quality interventions.
We are looking for candidates with relevant experience in SEND or similar educational programs and strong organisational and coordination skills.
You will have previous experience working with children and/or young people, preferably within an education setting, or those with a minimum of a level 2 qualification (grade 4 or above in English and Mathematics).
Previous experience working with children with special educational needs or social, emotional and mental health issues in a paid or voluntary capacity would be advantage but is not essential as full training is given.
This role can also be offered as an apprenticeship opportunity with successful applicants studying towards a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification.
