Huge thanks to the NUFC foundation who have been in school delivering sessions to our students.

They provided our Year 9s an amazing opportunity to attend the stadium with 1 child and adult ticket for next weeks game and a chance for one student to be a ball boy for the game!

Well done boys!

At Studio West, we prepare our pupils well for life after school. Our recent Ofsted report states that Careers education, alongside the Studio School ethos, helps pupils make suitable next steps.

What have Kenton pupils been up to?👀

On Wednesday 22nd January, 30 Year 9 Pupils took part in a Live Webcast presented by the Holocaust Educational Trust to mark this years Holocaust Memorial Day. Pupils listened attentively to a live interview with Mala Tribich MBE, Holocaust survivor. This supported both their recent History and Religious Education Curriculums.

We know our Attendance and Inclusion team are fabulous, but its great to see their incredible work recognised in our latest Ofsted report 🩵 😍

Inspectors noted that an “effective pastoral team supports pupils’ attendance and behaviour well” and that because there is a “well-informed improvement strategy” in place, “attendance is increasing and behaviour incidents are reducing” with a notable reduction in repeated behaviour incidents.

Great job team!

With the support of our colleagues in the Northern Leaders Trust, we have recently overhauled our curriculum and appointed specialist Subject Directors to support effective teaching.

Ofsted reported that pupils are now learning more and that our new, wider curriculum is well thought through.
